Category Examples of Wear and Tear:

Refrigerators

  • Broken or cracked door shelves, bins, or crisper drawers.
  • Cosmetic damage (dents, fading, or discoloration) on panels or handles.
  • Door seal/gasket deterioration (loosening, warping, or hardening over time).
  • Rust or corrosion on hinges, handles, or external surfaces (not affecting function).
  • Broken ice maker lever or dispenser flap (physical damage, not motor failure).

 

Washing Machines & Dryers

  • Cracked or broken detergent dispenser trays.
  • Fading or peeling of control panel decals.
  • Broken door hinges or latch mechanisms (not motor-related).
  • Rust or corrosion on the drum or exterior casing.
  • Worn-out or torn rubber door seals (loosening, warping, or hardening over time).

 

Dishwashers

  • Broken or cracked dish racks, tines, or silverware baskets.
  • Detergent dispenser door not opening/closing properly (physical wear, not electrical).
  • Fading/discoloration of interior tub or door panel.
  • Loose or broken door hinges/latches (non-motorized parts).

 Why do I need Extended Warranty?

All electrical devices are prone to electrical and mechanical failure. Repairs can be cumbersome and expensive. Having an extended warranty provides peace of mind and savings. Parts replacement, labour costs or even a total product replacement* is available to protect your purchases.

 

How long does an Extended Warranty Plan cover?

Extended Warranty covers your product up to 5 years. For IT products, coverage is up to 3 years.

 

Can I transfer the Extended Warranty Plan to a second owner?

Yes, you can call-in to our hotline at 6250 7811 to make the transfer within 14 days. Please provide product serial number, your personal details and new owner's details (for owner verification and transfer).

 

Where can I purchase the Extended Warranty Plan?

All Extended Warranty Plans can be purchased in-store together with your product, or within 30 days from the product purchase date or delivery date (whichever is later).

 

When will my Extended Warranty coverage start?

Your Extended Warranty coverage will start upon expiry of your product's original warranty.

 

How do I make a claim?

Please call our Extended Warranty Hotline at 6250 7811. We operate 24/7 and 365 days a year.

 

Do I need to provide Proof of Purchase?

Yes. In order to make a claim, we require a copy of your product's purchase receipt (showing the purchase date and price). Please get ready the product serial number, your name, contact number and personal details for verification.

These are issues unrelated to the internal moving parts or electronics of a product. They typically involve cosmetic damage, external components, or age-related wear and tear, and do not affect the product’s ability to function.
