Ceramic vs Induction Hobs

Confused between ceramic and induction hobs? Here’s a crash course for you. Ceramic hobs contain coiled metal elements to produce radiant heat. This heat is transferred through the ceramic glass to your cookware. The heat radiated does not warm up surrounding air drastically and you can simmer soups without heating up the entire kitchen. On the other hand, induction hobs generate an electromagnetic field to “excite” the pot, causing it to heat up.
