LUCKY DRAW TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

General

1. The following Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) shall apply to the Gain City’s 43rd Anniversary Amazing Sale Lucky Draw (“Contest” or “Lucky Draw”) to win a pair of Singapore Airline Air Tickets to Japan (“Prize”).
2. This Lucky Draw (“Contest”) is organized by Gain City Best-Electric Pte Ltd (“Organiser”).
3. By participating in the Lucky Draw, participants accept and agree to be bound by and to comply with the T&Cs and any amendments, additions, replacements, variations and modifications which Gain City may make hereto, which shall be final and binding in all respects on each participant. Gain City’s decision on all aspects of the Lucky Draw shall be final and no verbal or written correspondence, including but not limited to enquiries and appeals, shall be entertained.
4. Non-compliance with or breach of any of the T&Cs may disqualify a participant from the Lucky Draw, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed.

 

Eligibility

1. The Contest is only open to all customers who spend a minimum of $100 in a single receipt at Gain City from 18 March 2024 – 28 April 2024.

1. 1. Persons under the age of 18 will not be eligible to participate in the Lucky Draw. This Lucky Draw is only open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents.
   2. Participants from entities such as business companies, partnership or sole proprietorship must be legally appointed or authorized to participate in the draw. In the event of any dispute arising from the said participation, Gain City has the right to disqualify such a winner.

1. Employees of the Organiser or affiliates and members of the immediate families of each of the aforementioned parties are not eligible to participate in the Lucky Draw.
2. Qualifying Period for Weekly draws will be cut off on 24 March, 7 April, 14 April, 21 April, 28 April 2024 at 2359hrs.
3. Chances for lucky draw(s) are given based on the amount paid. Each customer is entitled one lucky draw chance with every $100 spent in a single receipt or invoice at Gain City showrooms or gaincity.com.

1. 1. Accumulating invoices to meet contest criteria are not allowed. 
   2. Participants are required to keep the invoices as proof of purchase.
   3. Only purchases made during the Contest period will be accepted.
   4. All outstanding payments must be made in full before collection of the Prize.
   5. Chance(s) for the Contest will be forfeited if the order is cancelled or refunded.
   6. Only purchases made during the Contest period are eligible for the lucky draw(s).
   7. Customers who do not win in the current week's lucky draw will be automatically entered into the next week's draw. Accumulated Entries will continue for subsequent weeks until the end of the Contest.

 

Contest Period

The Contest period is valid from 18 March 2024 – 28 April 2024, both dates inclusive (“Contest Period”). 

 

Mechanics of Lucky Draw

1. An E-draw will be conducted electronically at 3pm on 26 March , 2 April, 9 April, 16 April, 23 April & 30 April 2024 at Gain City office located at 8 Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2, Singapore 569500.
2. All winners will be notified by email or telephone at the email address or telephone number provided by them by 30 April 2024. In addition, the list of the winners of the draw will be made available on Gain City Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/likegaincity within seven (7) days after the date of the draw.
3. The Organiser reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion to change the date, time, location and the mode of drawing of the lucky draw (s) if deemed necessary without prior notice.
4. The Lucky Draw (s) will be conducted by any one of the Organiser staff.
5. One (1) winner will be drawn for each prize. Four (4) ‘reserve winners’ will be drawn to replace the FIRST winner drawn, in the event of any disqualification due to criteria and/or Terms & Conditions not met.
6. The prize is subject to availability and the Organiser reserves the right, at any time in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute, withdraw, add to or alter any of the prizes offered without prior notice.
7. The Organiser has the right, at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of the winners shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.

 

Prizes

1. Each participant in the Lucky Draw may win a maximum of one (1) prize, and any subsequent drawing of a participant's entry as a prize winner will be disregarded.
2. Winners of the Lucky Draw will be required to collect their prizes at Gain City Ang Mo Kio office (8 Ang Mo Kio Industrial Park 2, Singapore 569500) by 31 May 2024, or such other period as may be notified by the Organiser. Any failure or delay collecting the Prize shall be deemed a forfeiture of the Prize.
3. Participants for the contest will be contacted on the same day of the draw via email and telephone that participants have indicated on their customer records and must satisfy all verification requirements before being declared the winner. If a participant cannot be contacted or fails to respond after 3 emails and/or phone calls made by Gain City, this participant will be disqualified and another ‘reserve’ winner will be selected. Winner will receive a redemption letter to claim their prize.
4. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and non-cash prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for any tax or other liability that may arise from the prize winning.
6. Prizes are subject to availability and the Organiser has the right to substitute any prize for a comparable prize of equal or greater value to be awarded in lieu, subject to any applicable law.
7. Gain City reserves the right, at any time in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute, withdraw, add to or alter any of the prizes without notice to the participants.
8. Winner is required to personally attend a prize presentation ceremony on after the draw for publicity purposes. The Organiser shall have the right to request the winner to present his/her identity proof for verification purpose when such winner comes for the prize collection.
9. Winner is required to provide their full particulars, including their full NRIC/Passport/Identification number for the purpose of verification and audit.
10. Winner must allow photographs taken to be published in Gain City or in press before the prize is received.

 

Miscellaneous

1. Prize is a pair of Singapore Airlines Round Trip Tickets to Japan Flight destinations either to Tokyo or Osaka as stated above in the Lucky draw prize.
2. Prize needs to be claimed by 31st May 2024 and booked before 30th September 2024. Once reservation is done, no amendment is allowed.
3. Prize is valid for the traveling period departure from Singapore from May - October 2024. Prize needs to be booked 2 months before any departure date within the traveling period as stated.
4. Prize is subject to class booking of Basic Economy and seats availability.
5. Taxes and fuel surcharges are inclusive.
6. Gain City shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death in connection with the Lucky Draw, or any prize, except any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
7. By participating in this Lucky Draw(s), you agree that Gain City may collect and use your personal data, as provided in the customer record, for the following purpose in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and our data protection policy: To administer the Lucky Draw(s), it includes contacting you for the administration of prize in relation to this Lucky Draw(s), as well as for the fulfilment and redemption of the prizes in compliance with the Class licence for Trade Promotion Games and Lotteries under the Gambling Control (Trade and Other Promotional Games and Lotteries - Class Licence) Order 2022.
8. Gain City, as well as their respective representatives, agents or authorised service providers, collecting, using, disclosing and processing the participant's personal data, and sharing between themselves and their business partners, the participant's personal data including the photographs or audio-video or other recordings of these participants (“Material”) for publicity and/or use in advertisements across all media, including, without limitation, in publications, presentations, promotional materials on their websites, in its original or edited format, and whether to promote the Lucky Draw or otherwise without further notification, remuneration or compensation.
9. Additionally, by participating in the Lucky Draw, each participant further agrees that:
   1. the copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all Material shall vest solely and absolutely in Gain City without further compensation; and
   2. to the maximum extent permissible under law, each participant hereby waives its moral rights comprised in and to all Material in favour of Gain City.
10. Participants shall not, without the prior written approval of Gain City, speak to the press or any other media nor give any interviews or comments relating to the Lucky Draw.
11. Gain City has the right to vary or amend the terms and conditions of the Lucky Draw upon notice in writing by posting to the Organiser's website(s). The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death in connection with the Lucky Draw, or any prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
12. By participating, the participant confirms the accuracy of all information submitted during the Lucky Draw(s) entry. Any misrepresentation of facts or details (deemed material by Gain City) will lead to disqualification and may result in the forfeiture, withholding, withdrawal, or reclaiming of the awarded prize.
13. In the event of any inconsistencies or discrepancies between the Terms and Conditions and the contents of any flyers, marketing and/or promotional materials relating to the Contest, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
14. The Lucky Draw (s), Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Singapore law. The Courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions, including the validity and enforceability thereof.
15. Gain City reserves the right at any time to amend or delete these Terms and/or any of the instructions or explanations at its sole discretion without prior notice. Any such changes shall be binding and will take effect immediately upon such amendment, change or deletion. Participation in this Lucky Draw shall constitute acceptance of these Terms and any amendment(s) thereof.
16. Other terms & conditions apply.
