  • The guarantee will take effect from the date of purchase till the eighth day, and is only applicable to products where the delivery has not taken place yet.
  • Price match is only applicable to products of the same brand, model, payment mode and under the same manufacturer’s local warranty coverage.
  • Customer when making a claim must produce the original invoice of Gain City.
  • Gain City reserves the right to first match the price offered by our competitors and in the event if Gain City cannot match the price, we will refund your deposit plus 2.5 times the price difference.
  • Any refund is subjected to the payment mode – if customer pay by credit card, the refund will be made through his/her credit card.
  • Price matching requires customer to provide Gain City with information of the business outlet selling the product at a lower price. Information given must be supported with proof (e.g. newspaper advertisement, picture of price tag or price list). Gain City reserves the rights not to match any prices in the event of any falsified claim. 
  • In case of refund, verification will be carried out against our terms and conditions stated in our ‘8 day lowest price guarantee’ and once information are being validated, refund of deposit plus the 2.5 times on the price difference will be carried out.

  • This policy will take effect from the date of purchase/delivery/self collection till the eighth day and also apply to delivered products and cash and carry items. For example, if customer purchased a dect phone on May 1st and realized that his old dect phone is still working, he can then bring it back for exchange on or before May 8th so long as the following terms and conditions are met.
    • Product returned must be in brand new condition and in original packaging, complete with guarantee card and accessories.
    • Purchase must be within 8 days – if item is purchased on May 1, the claim for exchange must be made on/before May 8.
    • Product returned must be unused.
    • This policy does not apply to air conditioners and televisions which are already installed or wall mounted.
    • In the event of a cancellation with no exchange in product, a refund will be made in the same mode of payment that was used in the original purchase.

8 Days Replacement Guarantee is subject to the terms and conditions governing this offer to our customers.

Terms & Conditions:

  • The guarantee will take effect from the date of delivery till the eighth day.
  • Products are to be inspected and verified by Agent before conducting any replacement.
  • It is a manufacturing defect.
  • Original receipt of purchase from Gain City is required.
  • The exchanged product is to be of the same brand and same model.
  • The item for exchange must be returned with all its accessories and packaging.
  • This replacement warranty does not cover for dent and scratches.
  • This warranty is also applicable to air-conditioner sales (which is only applicable for standard HDB type of installation methods, which does not requires additional cranage, scaffoldings, logistics, manpower and other resources).
  • This warranty does not include clearance sales and display products sales.

Terms & Conditions:

The Contract:
This Gain City Extended Warranty Service Contract (the “Contract”) is offered by us, Gain City Best-Electric Pte Ltd (“Gain City”). The words “we,” “us” and “our” refer to Gain City and “you” and “your” the purchaser of this Contract. The term of the Contract is two (2) to five (5) years from the purchase date or the delivery date (whichever is later), inclusive of the manufacturer’s original written warranty period, depending on the product purchased (“Product”) and plan selected as set out in the Extended Warranty Service Contract. The Contract  must be made within 30 days from the date of purchase or delivery.

The Coverage:
The coverage is limited to mechanical and electrical defects and applies to repairs and replacements done in Singapore while the Product is being used in Singapore. We have the sole option to repair or replace your Product with like kind, quality and specifications. Due to advances in technology, the replacement product may be of lower retail value than the original Product. Replacement parts will perform to factory specifications of the product.. If the original Product is replaced, the replacement Product will be covered under the Contract on the same terms until the expiry of the Contract and the replaced Product shall be the property of Gain City.

Any repair and/or service by unauthorized repairer will render this contract to be null and void.

In the event that food is spoilt due to a defect in a refrigerator covered under the Contract, we will reimburse you for the cost of such food up to a total of S$250 per incidence provided that the food spoilage has been verified and inspected within two (2) working days by our authorized repairer and properly documented. 

Liability:
Coverage will not, under any circumstances, extend to any loss or injury to a person or loss or damage to property or any incidental, contingent, special or any direct or indirect loss and consequential damages including but not limited to losses incurred due to any delay in rendering service related to this Contract and loss of use during the period that your Product is at an authorized repairer and/or while awaiting for replacement parts to arrive.

     Exclusions from Coverage:

  • Air-con installation warranty.
    • General maintenance.
    • Malfunctions or damages resulting from natural disaster, fire, civil unrest and/or accidents.
    • Defects from using wrong electrical supply, misuse or damage due to negligence and abuse.
    • Usage in places where the air is polluted with dust particles or chemical fumes.
    • The use of old pipes.
    • Normal wear and tear, sweating, corrosion, rusting or strains.
    • Water leakage due to blockage of drainpipe under normal use.
    • Incidental or consequential damages are expressly excluded by this Warranty.
    • This Warranty shall immediately cease and become void if the appliance is found to have been tampered, modified, the serial number defaced, removed or repaired by an unauthorized person.
  • Products that are still covered by the manufacturer’s original written warranty, repairer’s warranty, or any other warranty in effect.  Any defects that are subject to the manufacturer’s recall.
  • The manufacturer’s recommended routine maintenance, inspection, cleaning, lubrication, external adjustments and any other instructions to the customer.
  • Non-operating and cosmetic items, paint, color, or Product finish; accessories used in or with the Product; external cables and cords; glass and lens; add-on options incorporated.
  • Unauthorized modifications made to the Product; altered serial numbers; failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions on installation, operation or maintenance; repairs performed by a non-authorized repairer; any items not affecting the Products’ function; image burn.
  • Software (including operating system and any stored data), defects resulting directly from software installation and/or removal, computer virus, virus prevention, and other peripherals.
  • Repairs to hardware that has been added after the Product’s original purchase.
  • Consumables such as batteries, bulbs, compact discs, digital tapes, stylus, toner and ink cartridges, etc.
  • External faults such as rust, wiring, electrical connection or plumbing, piping, trunking, fitting, realigning of signal receivers (poor receptions), and consequential loss of any kind.
  • Repairs necessitated by improper maintenance, accidental, intentional physical damage, damage by sand or water.
  • Burglary, theft, spilled liquids, corrosion, animal and insect infestation, fungi, wet or dry rot, or bacteria, misuse, neglect and abuse. 
  • Failure caused by a voltage converter and /or applying incorrect voltage to the Product.
  • Any diagnosis where no defect has been found or noted.
  • Defects and on-site service charges not covered under the manufacturer's original written warranty, unless otherwise stated as covered above.
  • Shipping charges and damage, express service charges, transportation damage, removal, installation or reinstallation of the Product.
  • Commercial use (multi-user organizations), public rental, use for profit or communal use for multi-family housing.
  • Any loss or damage to the Product resulting from fire or flood howsoever caused.
  • Any loss or damage to the Product resulting from an act of God (including without limitation, events such as earthquake, war, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities or warlike operations, civil war, civil commotion).

When the Product failure occurs due to electrical or mechanical defects, you must call the Gain City Extended Warranty hotline at 6222-1212 to report the failure during office hours. Our experienced customer service representatives are ready to guide you through the service process. To expedite service, please ensure that you have the details of your contract readily available before placing the call.  If the failure is not reported to us prior to repair, the repair will not be approved.

Transfer of Warranty to Second Owner:
If you sell or transfer your product to another consumer within the warranty period, you must call the Warranty Hotline within 14 days to transfer the Gain City Extended Warranty.   It is also important to report your new address in the event you change your residential address and take the Product (s) with you.

Contract Termination:
The Contract will terminate upon expiry of the term of the Contract or upon written notification of cancellation of the Contract within 30 days of original purchase of the Contract.

General:
The Gain City Extended Warranty is not an Insurance Policy or Guarantee; it is a Service Contract. This Contract is not a guarantee or promise relating to the nature of the material, workmanship or performance of your Product covered by the Contract.

For contract verification purposes, you may be required by our Customer Service Representative to present your Extended Warranty Service Contract to expedite the service of your Product. As such, we recommend that you place these documents in a safe place.

Replacement Plan

Get a brand new replacement set if the original appliance becomes faulty after one or two year(s) of the manufacturer's warranty expiration

Terms & Conditions:

The Contract:
This Replacement Plan Contract (the “Contract”) offered by us, Gain City Best Electric Pte Ltd (“Gain City”). The words “we”, “us” and “our” will be referred to as Gain City and “you” and “your” will be referred to as you, the purchaser of this contract.

The Contract provides replacement of your product as stated on the Sales Receipt (the “Product”) if it is found to be defective within 1 to 2 year(s) from the date of expiry of the manufacturer’s warranty (whichever is applicable depending on the plan have you selected as stated on the Sales Receipt.) You must purchase this Contract within 30 days from the  date of delivery of your Product and this Contract is valid only if this Product is used in Singapore.

The Coverage:
This coverage is limited to mechanical and electrical defects and is only applicable to new products purchased from us. In the event the Product fails to function due to an electrical or mechanical defect (fault), you will be entitled to a replacement of  the Product of like (similar) kind, quality and specifications from our Gain City Store at our discretion. Once your Product is replaced as according to this Contract, this Contract will automatically be made void.

Liability:
The retail price of the replacement product will not exceed the retail price that you have paid for the Product, which has failed. Coverage will not extend to any loss or injury to a person or for loss and damage to property or any loss of profit, incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages or any direct or indirect loss. This Contract is also non-transferable.

Exclusions from Coverage:

  • All exclusions as described in the manufacturer’s warranty for the Product.
  • All non-mechanical and non-electrical failures.
  • Any replacement which is necessitated by accidental or intentional physical damage, burglary, theft, spilled liquids, corrosion, animal and insect infestation, misuse, abuse, or damage caused by non-authorized repair personnel.
  • Lost or consumable parts such as knobs, lids, batteries, attachments and accessories packaged with the Product etc.
  • Commercial use (multi-use organizations), public rental or use for profit or communal use for multi-family housing.

Cancellation:
In the event you change your mind about this Contract, you must submit written notice of cancellation of this Contract and return the Sales Receipt to us within 30 days from the date of purchase of this Contract.

General:
Gain City Replacement Plan is a Service Contract and NOT an Insurance Policy. This Contract is not a guarantee or promise relating to the nature of the material, workmanship, or performance of the Product.

5 steps to obtain Product Replacement:

  • Refer to the Owner’s Manual for troubleshooting tips to confirm that the problem is NOT one that you can correct yourself, such as blown fuse, control setting or blockage (cleaning).
  • If the problem persists, bring your Product to any of the Gain City Outlets with your Sales Receipt and this Contract.
  • We will validate the Contract coverage and inspect the Product.
  • After we confirm the coverage, you will be entitled to a brand new Product in exchange for the Product which has failed.
  • The Product which has failed will be our property once replaced.

In order to qualify for a product replacement, you MUST present the Sales Receipt and this Contract. It is therefore important these documents are kept in a safe place.

  • No payment is required when the agreed scope of work is not fulfilled.
  • Gain City is not liable or responsible for any amount of damages above the dollar amount paid by the customer for the purchase of this service.
  • For Unsatisfied Service: within the 8-days, we will refund the full dollar amount as charged. No further demand of payment from Gain City beyond the dollar amount charged.
  • For Unsatisfied Repair: Replacement parts installed by Gain City are to be collected back. Gain City is not liable to return the dismantled, damaged and old parts due to circumstances that might cause the return to be not possible. No further demand of payment from Gain City beyond the dollar amount charged.
  • All incidental or consequential damages are expressively excluded

Terms & Conditions of 3-Year Installation Warranty:

  • This warranty is expressly for products cater to residential use.
  • This warranty is valid if only all particulars are filled in and received by Gain City within the stipulated date.
  • This warranty is not valid if the air-conditioner unit is found to be in a different address from the details given in the Warranty Card.
  • Warranty Card and Gain City invoice must be produced when making claims under this warranty.
  • This warranty becomes effective from the date of installation provided the Warranty Card is posted within the stipulated period and any notice of defect must be reported promptly upon discovery.
  • Air-condition Installation Warranty shall be subjected to the following limitations and exclusions:
    • General maintenance.
    • Malfunctions or damages resulting from natural disaster, fire, civil unrest and/or accidents.
    • Defects from using wrong electrical supply, misuse or damage by negligence and abuse.
    • Usage in places where air is polluted with dust particles or chemical fumes.

  • This warranty shall immediately cease and become void if the appliance is found to have been tampered, modified, the serial number defaced, removed or repaired by an unauthorized person
  • The warranty shall be subjected to the following limitations and exclusions:
  • Malfunctions or damages resulting from natural disaster, fire, civil unrest and / or accidents.
  • Defects from using wrong electrical supply, misuse or damage by negligence and abuse
  • Usage in places where the air is polluted with dust particles or chemical funes
  • Normal wear and tear, sweating, corrosion, rusting or stains
